All this hair on fire rhetoric about the Tea Party causing the US credit downgrade is nothing more than liberal, democratic, and media BS. The American public, once again has been swamped with story after story about the Tea Party causing the downgrade. Well, read this article, and then answer a few questions.
Question 1. How can the Tea Party be responsible for excessive spending and poor fiscal policies that have been in effect for over 60 years?
My answer; they cannot. The Tea Party has brought the issue of debt and its cost to America into the mainstream political debate. If not for them, we would be living the lie and continuing to fund government in a way that is, to use an environmental favorite word, unsustainable.
Question 2. Why was the president, democrats, and some RINO’s allowed to label Rep. Paul Ryan’s debt plan as killing entitlement spending? Yet, his plan, had it been adopted, would have stopped the downgrade. Why isn’t the media covering this?
My answer; unless the plan is a democratic, or presidential plan, the media will not even consider it a serious plan. Yet, neither the democrats, nor the president submitted a plan in writing that would address the debt/spending/revenue problems of the United States. In fact, democrats, including the last congress (remember Nancy Pelosi) did not even submit a budget for 2010, or 2011. Yet, the press failed to mention that. What kind of governing is that? How did that look on our credit resume? Again, no questions from the media.
