This is why I love the Laredo blogosphere.....you just get some great takes on what the current news is in Laredo.
Read (links supplied on right side of blog) LaSanbe, and LaredoTejas for interesting points on the newest scandal at the Webb County Courthouse.
It involves money that was presented to Webb County to distribute to those in need of assistance when paying their electric/gas bills. It looks like another case of very poor oversight by those elected to administer the county government.
Does anyone at Webb County understand what the term "metrics" means? Do our county leaders not ask how or how much money is being spent on specific projects? What do we pay them for, if they don't even take time to look at what is going on in the government?
My guess is they thing their $60k plus salaries are for them to drive around the county and work on their next elections.
Maybe if a couple of them were recalled, we might see something change.
